Local Pubs & Shops
Stock up on supplies from a good selection of local shops or eat out at some of our wonderful local pubs.
You're on holiday so why not take a break from the cooking and eat out at one of our local pubs...Sample the real ales made by our region's brewers in The Moon and Mushroom, Swilland, enjoy fish and chips at the Grundisburgh Dog and whether it's lunch outside on a sunny day or Sunday roast in cosy surroundings, The Fountain at Tuddenham and The Cretingham Bell are definitely worth a try.
There are village shops at Grundisburgh and Otley which also has a Post Office. Both sell newspapers, alcohol and general groceries and are usually open every day.
Visit one of the best butchers in Suffolk at Swiss Farm, Ashbocking. We recommend trying the large variety of local pork sausages.
For fresh local fruit and vegetables as well as a large range of pickles, chutneys, biscuits and bread, take a look at the Grange Farm Shop, Hasketon. There is also a saddlery.
For special gifts, The Crockery Barn in Ashbocking sells tableware, cookware, ceramics and textile products from around the world. There is even a tea shop so you can relax with a cup of tea and a scone.
There are Supermarkets in the nearby towns of Woodbridge and Ipswich, including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys, as well as the usual high street shops in the town centres.
